The Enhanced Capital Allowance Scheme (ECA)

The ECA scheme is an incentive for UK businesses to invest in more energy efficient plant.

A technology list has been compiled, with approved suppliers and equipment listed which conform to the scheme's energy efficiency criteria. SHBV COCHRAN products on this list include all SHBV COCHRAN boilers, economisers and burners with electronic control.

Purchasing equipment from the ECA list allows businesses to claim back 100% capital allowances in the first year, rather than spread over several years as is the norm. This gives a modest but worthwhile incentive to using more efficient equipment.
